The Bespoke Experience

The Bespoke Experience is a fully collaborative couture design journey.

Each gown is conceived, pattern-drafted and handcrafted exclusively for you in my Cambridgeshire studio. From the first sketch to the final fitting, every stage is approached with precision and expert technique.

This is a slower, considered process- designed for brides who value craftsmanship, structure and individuality.

The Design Consultation

Our journey begins with a private consultation, held either in my studio or virtually.

We will explore your vision in depth- silhouette, proportion, fabrication and mood. I will guide you through the possibilities while ensuring the final direction reflects your personal aesthetic. Following our consultation, I develop original sketches and begin sourcing fabrics curated specifically for your design.

Every bespoke gown begins with clarity of vision and thoughtful development.

Pattern Drafting & Toile

Once your design is confirmed, I draft a completely new pattern based solely on your individual measurements. No existing templates are adapted, and no standard sizing is used.

A fully structured toile is then created- a constructed mock-up of your gown that reflects the internal architecture and silhouette of the final piece. This stage allows the fit, balance and proportion to be refined before your chosen fabrics are cut.

The toile fitting is fundamental to achieving precision. Most brides find the initial fit aligns beautifully, with refinements made subtly and intentionally.

Construction & Craft

Your gown is handcrafted entirely by me, using couture construction techniques that prioritise internal structure as much as exterior design.

Every seam, line and detail is considered. The internal foundation of the gown is engineered to create shape, support and longevity- allowing the dress to feel as exceptional to wear as it appears.

Multiple fittings ensure the gown evolves gradually and precisely, resulting in a piece that feels balanced, sculpted and effortless.

International Bespoke

I work with brides worldwide.

International commissions follow the same couture process. A new pattern is drafted exclusively to your measurements, and a structured toile is created and fitted virtually using a mannequin calibrated precisely to your proportions. This allows the gown to be refined before final construction, ensuring the same level of accuracy and craftsmanship regardless of location.
