The Opus Collection

I absolutely had to write a blog post on this one - The Opus Collection! My debut collection of bridal separates, lace wedding dresses, elegant wedding dresses and more.
I wanted to write a bit more about the inspiration behind The Opus Collection and also the vision for the amazing editorial shoot!
The Collection
I started this collection by envisioning what I would want to wear as a Bride in 2025/26. I absolutely love the basque waists and corsets, as they’re so flattering on everyone and offer so much versatility in their design. I have 3 basque waist corsets in this collection, made from 2 separate patterns (a pattern is essentially the puzzle pieces you cut your fabric out in to sew together). The Modern Muse and La Dentelle corsets are made from the same pattern, so they have the same shape but they look completely different. This is achieved from the use of different fabrics and layering options. Modern Muse was made from a Mikado Satin and lace appliqués with depth, which feels really modern, glamorous and luxurious. La Dentelle’s corset was made with a Double Satin and draped with pearls, the Matt of the double satin and the draped pearls created a really beautiful, laid back, effortlessly elegant vibe. The corset for English Bloom has thin straps and the basque doesn’t go quite as low, so it’s a little more laid back and really works with the elegant floral fabric.
I also really wanted to focus on a great collection of Bridal Separates that could be layered together to create different bridal looks. I think it is so important to be able to continue to love your wedding dress after your wedding. That’s why I focused on creating mini skirts that could then be layered up with those gorgeous corsets so they could be worn to the evening reception and beyond. Imagine wearing your bridal mini on your honeymoon and 1 year anniversary?! These dresses are works of art to me and I wanted to ensure they could be loved for years to come, and hope to continue to work this way for my Summer collection.
I created a few different accessory options for these looks too - the detachable veils being one of the most versatile. Everyone wants the beautiful, long veil for their daytime ceremony, and the blusher veil for those gorgeous under the veil shots. So I made them detachable so that you could wear both together during the day, removing the long veil for the evening reception. Whilst I absolutely love the Bridal Mini Dress and long veil combo, this isn’t practical for dancing the night away at your reception, so being able to wear just that shorter veil on it’s own for the evening allows you to still have a gorgeous veil that’s a little more practical.
The Editorial
Now, onto the editorial! We had our shoot at the stunning Gosfield Hall. This was planned by GM Wedding planning and the vision for the shoot came from myself, Mollie Lovley Photography and GM. We all align with each other on vision so the decision making was quite easy, each of the suppliers we invited are perfect for modern brides who are looking for something a little more luxurious. The mood board for this shoot was very much timeless, elegant and fashion forward - we wanted it to feel like a Pinterest board and all of the suppliers created the most beautiful set up. On the day, each dress had a specific glam card which had the model, makeup look and hair. The makeup was executed beautifully by the super talented Tiffany Does Makeup and their hair was created by Sabrina Saeed who made their hair look exactly like the mood board. Our models were Ciera, Zac, Hannah and Rosie who made everything look so effortlessly beautiful.
We had 3 extremely talented photographers attending on the day - Anna Ti Creates Photography, Ditty Lens Photography and Mollie Lovley Photography. Each with their own twist on editorial shots - you can distinguish which images belong to which photographer by their subtle differences, whilst all giving the same high quality finish. Georgie planned to perfection that each photographer would get a certain amount of time to shoot with each model - and all come together for ‘that’ group shot on the gorgeous Chesterfield sofas and the stunning vintage car from Lil and Blue.
For videography, we had Story By Shan, who worked on creating high fashion, editorial videos of the day, her work is truly beautiful so I’m really excited to see the outcome! For content we had Your Reel Wedding and Tanya provided us with all the raw footage to use on our social media, so if you see content from the day - it’s likely from Tanya!
Gosfield Hall supplied glassware, charger plates and cutlery - so we had the lovely A2D Styling and Floristry enhance the wedding breakfast with candles, bud vases, napkins, plinths and chair drapes in the wedding breakfast and a floral arch in the ceremony room. Paired perfectly with stationery from Oh Wonder Calligraphy and biscuit favours from Little Peony Cakes, who also supplied the most beautiful pearl adorned 3 tier cake, finished with a black bow. It matched the vibe perfectly (and tasted like heaven).
One of our florists was Wild and Mae who supplied the florals for the wedding breakfast and the beautiful florals around the vintage car.
Cambridge Photo Booth provided a Photo Booth and a new concept of Wedding Portraits - they had a set up and took portaits of everyone which were printed and framed on site, which I think is going to be such a big trend for 2025/26 weddings!
The models’ bouquets were supplied by Meadow View, we had a vision to match each dress and they were made beautifully!
The jewellery was provided by Coralie Jewellery and was perfect for our editiorial. Made beautifully, for modern brides who want something to enhance their bridal look that can also be worn beyond your wedding day.
We had such a talented team working together to create magic. I can’t wait to do it all again🤍
