My goal is to transform your dream dress into a reality. From the start, we collaborate closely to bring your vision to life, discussing the details you love and the ones you'd prefer to leave behind. I believe dressmaking is a deeply personal and collaborative journey. By weaving elements of your unique personality into the design, I create a one-of-a-kind bespoke bridal gown that truly reflects who you are.
Bespoke Wedding Dress design is a one -of-a-kind experience, and one that I absolutely adore. Your gown will be made perfectly for your body, and designed with you in mind. From the first consultation, to the final fitting you’ll get to wash a dress made just for you come to life.
The Process of Creating Your Bespoke Wedding Dress
My timeline typically spans 4-6 months. It begins with a complimentary design consultation, where we discuss your vision and explore fabrics from my lookbook. I’ll send over a quotation and terms for you to review, alongside a watermarked working sketch of your design. Once you have paid your deposit, you will receive a more in depth sketch without watermark.
We then book in for a meeting, where I will take your measurements and we will look through fabrics together, and envision which will work best for your gown. Next, I create a toile (mock-up) to perfect the fit in around 1-4 fittings, which we have at my home studio. Once the fit of your toile is perfected, I craft your gown in the chosen fabric, adding finishing touches like appliqués. If you are opting for a gown with appliqués, I’ll usually invite you to the studio for another fitting so you can be involved in their placement. The journey concludes with a celebratory final fitting where you can try your dress on for the final time and take her home.
Can I add custom Bridal accessories?
Absolutely! I offer a wide range of pre-designed accessories, but also offer the option for us to work together to create a completely unique piece for you.
